I have had some difficult times these last few months, almost a year really and have gained back 40 lbs. I was diagnosed with bipolar and started on some fairly heavy meds. Which of coursed ended up causing weight gain as a side effect. So now matter how well i ate, i still was gaining. So then I went crazy, got depressed and started binging like crazy, eating all the foods i havnt wanted to touch in a long time. i even stopped going to Weight watchers 2 months ago becuase i was so ashamed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now i have joined OA (i'll post more about that in another update), i have switched medications, i went back to weight watcher this past week, and i feel like i am soo on track again. I will lose this weight. my goal is 100 lbs in 1 year. I know. I have my good days and my bad...My weight has defeintly slowed right down, however i am still losing at least. &lt;br /&gt;Currently I have lost a total of 89 lbs! yay! I really hope to be at 100 lb loss by thanksgigiving, but the last 2 weeks I have plauted (sp?) but I got some tips and am working on that. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My exercising has been crap latly, btu i am trying to speed walk daily on the treadmil and eventually I would like to start running. We shall see how that goes. 15 mins on it and I am dead lol.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On a positive note i can now squeeze into a size 18!! YAY me!! So less then 3 lbs to go and i'll be back to where I was. I am hoping to lsoe it all by next week, however with lilia in the hospital and not being able to swim i will just do my best and cross my fingers that I dont gain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;BTW not sure if my ticker is right, I guessed. I have eaten way too much crap..and i am pretty sure I have gained a couple pounds. Plus last week i couldnt go to my WW meeting as the kdis had an appoinment (sometimes more) every day!! which also meant eating quick meals..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This week its Christmas so i dont expect it to get much better..but i am trying to control myself. I am still swimming and drinking my water. Is witched my swim program to a harder one to try and help and I will be adding soem exercising with weights at home. So hopefully I can control the damage a bit and not feel too bad about myself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;it was actually making me feel pretty depressed..but I think I am feeling better about it. I will do better!! I had been swimming a bit more, i didnt eat my flex points, and I was eating a few less points each day then i was suppose to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This week I ate my flex points (mmm carrott cake at my niece's baptism) i ate 2 extra points each day, and i went swimming 3 times (instead of my usual 5) and I lost 4.2 lbs!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Apprently if you dont eat enough your body starts to slow down in case your starting to starve yourself. So there is a fine line..you dont want to eat too much, and yet you cant eat too less either.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyways my total weight loss now is 65.6 lbs!! I have exercised more then normal..although i did make a couple "bad choices" I ate pizza and chicken wings on monday. But It was still better then before, I only ate 2 slices and 4 wings, and i didnt go over my points for the day. I also havnt weighed myself on the scale at home...I agree that doing that can be bad, and i was getting too much in the habit of weighing myself 2-3 times a day. Although i am nervous to see the results tomorrow since I am going into the weigh in with a blind eye bascially..oh well. So 19 weeks ago i joined weight watchers.&lt;br /&gt;It hasn't been easy thats for sure, especially since i have such a huge amount to lose in the first place (160lbs according to my doctor, which would bring me down to 180lbs..I'm 5'9) Even Brant deicded to take this journey with me, which made even a bit easier to stick to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So every Firday at 9:30 am I go to my meetings. I have been good and have only ever missed 2 (we were at a wedding up north, and Lilia was in the hospital) meetings.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After a few weeks I added exercise, I now swim for an hour each time (2K) 4-5 times a week. I go in the mornings before the kids are even up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have so far lost 59.8 lbs!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I decided it would be easier to blog all my personal tips, my success, my struggles and even my failures since a lot of ppl are pretty interested in it.
